Meet the Publishers: Elizabeth Suggs

I am a co-owner of the indie publisher Collective Tales Publishing, owner of Editing Mee, both of which have given me the opportunity to work closely with authors throughout the writing and editing process. I am also the president of two writing groups, one being part of the LUW (League of Utah Romance Chapter). My writing groups give me an opportunity to lead group discussions, help authors learn how to critique each other’s and their own work, and give opportunities to publish their stories in the CTP anthologies.
I started editing while pursuing journalism. I worked at several new companies, one of which was Fox 13 News. I then moved away from journalism editing and now work specifically with authors looking to publish. I have two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Journalism with a minor in editing and the other in Psychology, where I worked on academic writing. This September I will start a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing at Swansea University and plan to use this experience to better help authors.
Books are my life, and I hope I can instill that passion in others, be it in silly social media posts with the creative Jonathan Reddoch or through the editing process.
